There are many web browsers around already and they are all looking to compete with Microsoft Internet Explorer.
What are these web browsers like google chrome, opera, Mozilla, firefox, apple safari, looking for? are they looking for money? how they are earning the money?
well, ads…they are mircosoft so they do make a lot of money to keep their programs running i suppose.
According to me, Microsoft Internet Explorer can just be give-away program for the customers using Microsoft Windows. it is just to promote its business and to its customer an easy GUI environment.
Microsoft does not earn money from IE. They earn money from the operating systems, office suite, servers and other major software. IE has been a core part of their operating systems wince Windows 98. You don't have to purchase IE anymore, you have to purchase the whole O/S and get the IE as a freebie.
Secondly, a web browser is an essential software, all operating systems now ship with a default web browser — and users take it for granted. It'd be useless for someone to spend money on an O/S that does not have built in browser and multimedia components.
